Another copyright infringement issue - Please Read!!
Flisties – we have another copyright infringement issue.

There’s a site that’s are pulling fic from AO3 and other places without the authors' permission and putting them up on on their own site where they make money off them with ads etc. Please search it to see if your stuff is there (you can search by author), then check here for more info, like how to demand they be taken down.

I found two of my own fic, which seem to be randomly selected. Thanks to elrhiarhodan who send me a DMCA template
I sent them an email, demanding they remove my fic. Here is the form you can use.

My name is ________ and I am the author of the work(s) "_______" published under the pseudonym "_________.” Your site is infringing on at least one copyright owned by me.

This was copied onto your servers without my permission. The original works(s), to which I own the exclusive copyrights, can be found at:

________________ (original site where the work was taken from)

The unauthorized and infringing copy can be found at:

_______________________ (site where the work was posted without permission)

This letter is official notification under Section 512(c) of the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (”DMCA”), and I seek the removal of the aforementioned infringing material from your servers. I request that you immediately notify the infringer of this notice and inform them of their duty to remove the infringing material immediately, and notify them to cease any further posting of infringing material to your server in the future.

Please also be advised that law requires you to remove or disable access to the infringing materials upon receiving this notice. Under US law a service provider, such as yourself, enjoys immunity from a copyright lawsuit provided that you act with deliberate speed to investigate and rectify ongoing copyright infringement. If service providers do not investigate and remove or disable the infringing material this immunity is lost. Therefore, in order for you to remain immune from a copyright infringement action you will need to investigate and ultimately remove or otherwise disable the infringing material from your servers with all due speed should the direct infringer, your client, not comply immediately.

I am providing this notice in good faith and with the reasonable belief that rights my company owns are being infringed. Under penalty of perjury I certify that the information contained in the notification is both true and accurate, and I have the authority to act on behalf of the owner of the copyright(s) involved.

Should you wish to discuss this with me please contact me directly.
Thank you.

I am pissed off to the nth degree.

Please pass this around to your folks so we can get this nipped in the bud ASAP.

I also found the domain provider for the website and asked them to terminate it ASAP because it was infringing on multiple copyrights. Not sure that will help, but I tried. :)

Maybe if a lot of us tried this?

Sure! A Whois search told me that Moniker had registered the domain, so I looked them up and found this Contact Page. I gave them the URL for EBooks Tree, put in Domain Termination as the Subject and asked them to terminate it for multiple copyright violations.

ETA: I just found out that there are other sites linked if you click on the download button, so I've also sent requests to terminate domains to:

domains@hyuna.bb regarding bamplay.com and lilplay.com
abuse@wildwestdomains.com regarding urbookdownload.com
