I have not been writing. Which really sucks because I have my WCBB which is a story that I am itching to write, plus a SPN fic that's due at the end of July. For whatever reason, I don't want to look at a Word Doc. Once I get started, I do okay. It's that initial impetus to start that I'm having a problem with.
My dear friend elrhiarhodan suggested I try her three-sentence meme but that didn't really tweak my Muse.
However this idea came to me as I was driving home today. White Collar Haiku.
What is Haiku? Haiku (high-koo) are short poems that use sensory language to capture a feeling or image. They are often inspired by an element of nature, a moment of beauty or a poignant experience. Haiku poetry was originally developed by Japanese poets, and the form was adapted to English and other languages by poets in other countries.
They fall in three lines of 5-7-5 syllables. An example:
Music plays sweetly, drifting.
And life is renewed.
So here's the idea.
1. Comment with our wonderful WC characters either singly or in a group/pairing and a word/words.
2. I will write a haiku for it.
My goal is to write one every day for 30 days as a warm up for that day's writing session.
You may post up to three prompts (in separate comments) at a time.
